Shepway Basketball Finals

The top two teams from each of the Shepway competitions qualified for the Shepway finals.  Our team played really well and won all of their games.  This made them the winners for our district and meant we qualified for the Kent School Games By Ruby and Jess Yr. 6

Shepway Basketball

On Friday 23rd January we entered the Shepway Basketball competition.  We played in two leagues and then played off for final positions.  We came 1st, 5th and 6th out of eight teams.  All teams did really well and you could see an improvement throughout the games.  Our winning team qualified for the Shepway Finals. Paralympic Roadshow

All classes from Yr. 1 – Yr.6 had a one hour workshop at The Three Hills to look at Paralympic sports.  Yr.1-3 took part in curling, scoot boards and seated volleyball.  Yr.4-6 took part in wheelchair basketball and seated volleyball.  The children all had a really good time and also increased their awareness of disability Continue reading

Lacrosse Tournament

On 9th January Miss Laws and Miss Farnfield took three teams to a lacrosse tournament at The Three hills. Dance Coaching

Yr.1 – Yr.6 had a one hour session with a qualified dance coach.  Each class had a themed workshop ranging from country dancing to street dancing.  There was a lot of laughter and lots of creative design from both children and staff.

Lacrosse Club

Children from yr.4/5/6 had the opportunity to take part in a six week lacrosse club led by Joe Burnett from England Lacrosse.  We learnt how to throw and catch a lacrosse ball and how to play the game tactically.  It was great fun and our skills really improved throughout the weeks. Gym Coaching

Yr.1 – Yr.6 had a one hour session with a qualified gymnastics coach.  They learnt to do balances and put routines together including the use of apparatus.  It was great fun.
