Class 5 had an absolutely incredible time on our fantastic day trip to France! After a very early start and a smooth channel crossing, we arrived in the beautiful historic coastal town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. The children were totally immersed in French culture and had the brilliant opportunity to practice their language skills in real-life situations. We visited a traditional boulangerie, where the delicious smell of fresh croissants filled the air, and we even learned how to shape our own dough! Following a lovely picnic lunch by the spectacular coast, we explored the fascinating cobbled streets of the old town before heading home. The children's behavior was exemplary throughout the entire journey, making St. Eanswythe's very proud!

What a spectacular day we had at the annual district Bellboat Regatta! Class 5 demonstrated outstanding teamwork, resilience, and sheer determination as they took to the water to compete against other local schools. After a thorough safety briefing and a few wobbly practice rounds, our incredible crews quickly found their rhythm. Paddling in perfect unison, they powered their twin-hulled bellboats across the lake with massive smiles on their faces. The cheers from the riverbank were deafening as our boats crossed the finish line in several nail-biting, close races. Although we got thoroughly splashed by the end of the afternoon, the children showed phenomenal sportsmanship and had a wonderfully fun time representing the school!
