St Eanswythe’s School Uniform

We ask parents to support us in ensuring that children adhere to the school uniform policy. Our children should present themselves as smart, capable members of the community, with high expectations of themselves and each other.

All children are expected to wear full school uniform every day, and we encourage them to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and neatness at all times. Wearing a uniform is a long-standing and valued tradition at our school.

We believe that a school uniform is important because it looks smart, wears well, contributes to a sense of pride, and gives a common identity.

Boys

Boys Uniform
  • School cap with badge
  • Grey trousers or shorts
  • White shirt (long and short sleeved)
  • Grey jumper / tank top
  • Grey socks
  • Navy blue or black coat (optional)
  • Navy blazer with badge
  • School tie

Girls

Girls Uniform
  • School beret with badge
  • Grey skirt / pinafore or trousers
  • White shirt / blouse (long and short sleeved)
  • Grey jumper / tank top
  • Grey / white socks or grey tights
  • Navy blazer with badge
  • Navy blue or black coat (optional)
  • School tie
  • Red gingham summer dress

Summer Weather

During the hot weather in Summer, children are required to bring their blazers, caps and berets to school. They will only need to wear them for worship.

Hair Styles

Hair styles must be reasonable and in sympathy with our school uniform. Extreme colours, spikes, shaving or sculpting is not considered suitable for school. Long hair should be tied back for health and safety reasons.

PE Kit

For health and safety reasons it is important that children are properly dressed for any physical activity.

Our Uniform for PE is as follows:

  • Navy PE t-shirt (School logo t-shirt available from Channel Uniforms if preferred)
  • Navy PE shorts
  • Navy PE Hoodie with school logo or plain navy hoodie
  • Navy joggers / plain leggings
  • Black plimsolls / black trainers

All items of clothing for PE should be named.

PE kits should be kept in school and returned home for washing at weekends and holidays.

Purchasing Uniform

School caps, berets, ties, blazers and badges are available to buy at Channel Uniforms, all other items can be purchased elsewhere.

Parents are asked to ensure all items are clearly labelled with their child’s name.
