This week, the Ducklings class had a fantastic time building dens using blankets, pegs and other materials. As they worked together, the children engaged in valuable problem-solving by deciding how to construct their dens, figuring out what would hold up the blankets and how to create a sturdy structure. This activity also encouraged teamwork and collaboration, as they communicated their ideas and negotiated roles, taking turns and supporting each other. Through trial and error, they learned to adapt and improve their designs, fostering resilience and creativity. As they worked together to bring their ideas to life, the children strengthened their social skills, enhanced their communication abilities, and built confidence in their problem-solving strategies, all while having fun in a supportive, hands-on environment.
