Kent Test – Secondary Transfer (September 2026 Entry)
 

The Kent Test for children due to start secondary school in September 2026 took place in September 2025.

Registration for the Kent Test opened in June 2025 and closed in July 2025. Late registrations were not accepted.
The test was administered in September 2025, with results issued to parents in October 2025.
If you were considering a grammar school as a secondary option for your child, registration for the Kent Test was required in order for your child to be eligible for consideration for a grammar school place.

Information for registering for the Shepway Test can be found on the websites for The Harvey Grammar School (here) and The Folkestone School for Girls (here). The Shepway Test Registration form will be available on the Folkestone School for Girls website from  June to 16th July.

To enable us to keep a record of children expected to take the Kent Test, please could we ask that you email the school office once you have applied.
