Inclusive Sports Event

Cheers and high-fives echoed across the sports hall at Three Hills on Thursday morning as St. Eanswythe's proudly participated in an exhilarating sports event, where inclusivity, camaraderie and newfound sportsmanship took centre stage.

Four of our bright stars from Years 3 and 4 received an invitation to join this event, bringing their enthusiasm and eagerness to embrace new challenges. Alongside several local schools, they came together to share experiences, learn and celebrate the joy of sports.

Teaming up with students from another school, our children dove headfirst into a whirlwind of exciting activities that showcased inclusivity in sports. From the adrenaline rush of wheelchair basketball (an absolute favourite!) to the laughter-filled kinball, the tactical prowess of sitting volleyball, the unique twist of playing futsal with sound-cancelling headphones simulating hearing difficulties and the strategic fun of table cricket—each activity presented a unique challenge and a chance to learn and grow.

It wasn't just about the games; it was about fostering connections and making new friends. Our students not only embraced these new sports and skills but also exhibited exemplary behaviour throughout the event. Their enthusiasm and sportsmanship were contagious, setting a fantastic example for everyone present.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Sports Trust for organizing this remarkable event and to the students from The Harvey Grammar School who supported and made this day an unforgettable experience.
