Last term, in Year 6, students collaborated to create a unique and captivating art installation featuring paper mache jellyfish. They focused on the use of colour and how it can influence the mood of an artwork, daring to be bold and experimental in their choices. The children explored a range of colours, thinking about how each shade could evoke different emotions and feelings. They also paid close attention to the texture and colour of the jellyfish's tentacles, adding intricate details to make them visually dynamic. To further enhance the installation, the children thoughtfully incorporated string lights into their final piece, casting a mesmerising glow and creating an immersive atmosphere. The result was a stunning and engaging installation that showcased the students' creativity, teamwork and understanding of the emotional power of colour.
