This term in Art, our Year 4 children have been busy exploring nature through a creative and hands-on project—making their own bird’s nests! The children carefully gathered natural materials such as twigs, leaves, feathers, string and moss from the playground, taking great care to choose items that would help bring their ideas to life. Using clay as a base to bind everything together, they thoughtfully shaped and arranged their nests, paying close attention to the form and function of real bird nests. The result was a wonderful collection of unique and imaginative creations. The children were incredibly proud of their work and couldn’t wait to share their nests with others.
