Last term, in Year 4, students embarked on the creative project of designing pocket-sized art galleries in their art lessons. They began by thinking about how to create miniature versions of themselves interacting with the exhibits, carefully considering the poses and how their tiny figures would engage with the artwork. To add depth and detail to their galleries, the children then crafted miniature plinths using various shaped nets, ensuring each one was unique and suited to the piece it would support. Finally, the students brought in small, special items to display in their galleries, carefully selecting objects that would add personal meaning and intrigue to their exhibits. This project allowed the children to combine creativity, design and attention to detail while exploring the concept of an art gallery on a small, intimate scale.
