The children couldn’t wait to welcome their mums (and a few grandmas and aunties too!) into the school for our Mother’s Day Tea Party. With big smiles and even bigger excitement, Year 4 had been preparing for days — and their hard work definitely paid off!
To kick off the event, the class performed a heartwarming selection of poems and songs, all practised especially for the occasion. From funny rhymes to touching verses about all the things mums do, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room — and plenty of giggles too! Their confidence and enthusiasm shone through, and the mums were clearly very proud.
After the performances, it was time to relax and enjoy a tea party together. There were delicious slices of cake, biscuits, and of course, plenty of cups of tea and juice. The children loved serving their mums and sitting down to chat and share a treat with them.
It was a special afternoon full of smiles, laughter, and sweet moments. Thank you to all the mums who joined us — and well done to Year 4 for putting on such a thoughtful and memorable celebration!
