Here in Folkestone there is usually a procession by people from churches all across the town to head up to the hills and put three crosses on Sugarloaf Hill on Good Friday.
Due to coronavirus restrictions that sadly cannot take place this year. Instead, schoolchildren have been asked to decorate their windows with crosses so that the symbol of Easter can still be seen all over town, as it would be in normal times.
Ducklings, Owls and Eagles all made beautiful ‘stained glass window’ style crosses to display in their own front windows this Easter weekend. We looked at photos of the stained glass windows from our St Eanswythe’s Church and discussed what stories they told. We also watched a video about how to make real stained glass windows.
