Ducklings Being Doctors

During our final week of term, the Ducklings explored the topic of Doctors. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their own experiences of visiting the doctor and talking about how doctors help us to feel better. Through role play, they enthusiastically took on the role of the doctor, developing their Communication and Language skills as they used new vocabulary and engaged in imaginative conversations with their friends and adults.

They particularly loved using bandages to care for their 'patients', which provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen their Physical Development, especially their shoulder, arm, and finger muscles, as they wrapped and unwrapped the bandages carefully.

In our Tuff Spot activity, the Ducklings learned about Oral Health and how to keep their teeth clean and healthy. This supported their understanding of Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED), as they discussed making healthy choices and caring for their own bodies. Many of the children proudly promised to brush their teeth more often! Ducklings is the most fun place to be to learn through play!
