This term we are looking at the book 'How To Wash A Woolly Mammoth' by Michelle Robinson and Kate Hindley. We found clues in our classroom last week: a paddling pool, a towel, bubbles (lots of bubbles), a rubber duck, a scrubbing brush, a hairbrush with brown wool and a present. Inside the present was the story. Since finding the story we have read it every day and this week we have been retelling the story using a story map. The children have also included lots of fantastic actions to help us remember when we are retelling the story. All of this will help us when we have to write our own instructions. I wonder if you could use our story map to tell the story?
