โWhere the Wild Things Areโ Puppets
Last term, Year 1 combined our DT and literacy learning by creating our own โWhere the Wild Things Areโ puppets. Before making our puppets, the children designed their characters, thinking carefully about the features they wanted to include and the materials they would need. Term 6 Journeys with the Ducklings
Last week, our Ducklings began their learning about journeys and the different ways people travel. Last term, our Ducklings were very busy creating their own colourful bookmarks using needles, embroidery thread and binca. Double Dose of D&T
Year Five enjoyed two full days of Design and Technology, which gave us the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in our learning and explore our topics in depth. DT Playgrounds in Year 6
This week, Year 6 have had lots of fun designing and making their very own playgrounds. They thought carefully about what they like about playgrounds they have visited and decided on a theme for their own. They had to include: something to hide in or under, something to climb, something that moves and of course it had to be fun and aesthetically pleasing! D&T Day in Owls Class - Making Smoothies ๐๐
Year 1 had an amazing day making their own fruit smoothies! They started by learning how fruits grow and how flowers turn into tasty fruits. ๐ฑ๐ Next, the children became smoothie designers, choosing their favourite fruits, using a class word bank, writing ingredient lists and creating bright, colourful labels for their cups. After learning about knife safety and chopping their fruit carefully, each child added their ingredients to a blender to make their very own smoothie.

The Ancient Egyptians
Last week our history lesson was all about mummification and what they used to do when a Pharoah died. We learnt all kinds of fairly gruesome things! Creative Workshop - Year 4
Year 4 had a very exciting Tuesday morning, as they got the opportunity to visit Block 67 to take part in a fun workshop. The children looked at various artists whose artwork is based on chain reactions. Some brilliant questions were being asked, as well as ideas for their own creations.
