Year Three took on the challenge of planning and creating their own pneumatic toys. They were given the brief - to create a pneumatic moving toy suitable
for a five year old.
The children spent the morning, learning about pneumatics, brainstorming ideas and producing detailed diagrams and selecting their resources. We tested the Science behind pneumatics, by carrying out experiments with straws, paper and balloons. We enjoyed a balloon car race, this demonstrated the use of compressed air to power an object. Just before lunch the children began to build their creations.
We are very proud to share with you some of the creations made. We have a whole range from blooming flowers to moving backpacks.
Thank you to all that sent in resources to make this creative design and technology day possible.
