Baking Bread! Sainsbury's

To finish our learning on the Little Red Hen, on Wednesday we went on a short trip to Sainsburys! We visited their bakery and chose different types of bread to buy and take back to school to try. We chose Giraffe bread, Cheese-topped bread and a French stick. Did you know that Tiger bread has now changed it's name to Giraffe bread? We were also given the chance to ask questions about how the bread is made in their bakery.

Today we made our own bread rolls! We followed a Little Red Hen recipe and used the ingredients: water, oil, flour, salt and yeast. We spoke about hygiene and the importance of washing our hands before preparing food. Our rolls look delicious and we had lots of fun making them.
