Last week our Worship Leaders were lucky enough to head out on a school trip to Canterbury Cathedral. The sun was shining as we first caught sight of the beautiful Cathedral, we just couldn’t believe the size of it! It certainly is bigger than our school hall where we, as Worship Leaders, often lead our assemblies. We all took part in a tour where we were plunged into the depths of the cathedral’s rich and wonderful history. This was enhanced by our costumes of famous figures - Some of us were monks, some kings and some were even the Saint Thomas Becket. We had the most amazing opportunity to explore hidden rooms and chapels, herb gardens that used to belong to monks and we even headed to the place of a gruesome crime….the place of Thomas’s tragic death! As the tour concluded even the teachers were speechless at the beauty of the cathedral! How fantastic it is for us to have such a historic and wondrous location right on our door step!
