Confirmation 2026

This week we held our annual confirmation service. Ten of our pupils were confirmed and it was lovely to welcome Bishop Rise to lead the service. Confirmation is a special church service in which a person confirms the promises that were made for them when they were baptised. Bishop Rose laid her hands on their heads and asked God’s Holy Spirit to give them the strength and commitment to live God’s way for the rest of their life. The children sang beautifully and were brilliantly behaved. It was a particularly special service for the children who were confirmed and their families who were watching. Many thanks goes to Mrs Adlington and Father Chris for leading the preparation sessions in the months before the service, to Mrs Hume for playing the organ and to Bishop Rose for leading the service.
