Forces

This term in Year 3 we will be learning about Forces. We have recapped what we had previously learnt about pushes and pulls and this week the children investigated the force of friction and how it affects the movement of a toy car travelling over different surfaces. The children worked in small groups and used different textured surfaces as a ramp, for a toy car to travel along. They had to carefully measure how high the ramp had to be before the car started to move. Great teamwork was needed for this investigation. The children then came up with their own way of recording their results.
