St Eanswythe’s Worship Leaders were lucky enough to visit Canterbury Cathedral last week! Dressed as Monks, Kings, Queens and Bishops we travelled back through time as we explored the magnificent building. We stopped off at key historical hot spots whilst enjoying the peace and serenity of the cathedral. Even us teachers were struck by its beauty and the calmness of the surroundings. A key fact we learnt about was that Monks would only have a proper bath once a year in December - what a Christmas treat! Perhaps the most memorable moment was when we visited the crypt, the room was lit by candle light and together we prayed for our school and for each other. The children were beautifully behaved and represented the school and their role as Worship Representatives beautifully.
