A First Class Delivery!
It has been like a mail delivery room on our Key Stage One corridor this morning! Year Two have been very busy writing letters of support and encouragement to the children in Year One. Year Two shared positive tales of their learning this year, their favourite trips and how much they have grown. They also shared their best subject....which of course was PSHE!! Mrs Semple then delivered these letters to the year one classroom where we sat together and read them. Year One loved

Ice Ice Baby!
The themes of change and transition are very important at St Eanswythe's this term. In PSHE Year 2 found a fun way to explore this concept...whilst keeping very cool in the heatwave! We thought about upcoming changes for us this term like new teachers, moving into KS2 and a new classroom. How did these changes make us feel? We then all took part in challenge, in pairs we each had an ice cube - we had to make our cube melt as fast as possible. There were a lot of very ...inter

Moving On Up: Year 6 Transition Workshop
This afternoon in Year Six we had a transition workshop. This is where we thought about the theme of transition and how we felt about this upcoming experience. We explored this through games, question and answer sessions, and writing advice for each other . Through our games we found out that a lot of us shared the same worries and it was great to support each other as a class. After lots of deep thinking we relaxed with some cooling ice poles to celebrate our afternoon toget

The children had a good understanding of the difference between migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. They were then shown a clip of a very familiar face, Paddington Bear, alone and lost

Joe Wicks
We joined hundreds of other schools in a high-energy workout to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week. We discovered how moving our bodies can boost our mood, build resilience and support our mental wellbeing. Both staff and children enjoyed fifteen minutes of exercises in the hall - what a great end to our school day!

Pocket-Sized Professionals...
Well over the last few weeks Year One have turned into professional job hunters! We have explored what a CV looks like and even learnt what it stands for in Latin... Curriculum Vitae - "Course of life". Together we wrote our own CV showcasing our skills and talents in Year one! Today, we learnt how to address an envelope and delivered our CV to a member of our Senior Leadership Team! Mr Brinkley appeared and we shared our talents and how we would love to be considered for fut

Mini Moguls - You're Hired!
The Businessman Lord Sugar once said "Success comes from hard work and determination" and that is exactly what we, in Year 2, have been learning about this term in PSHE! Mrs Semple set us a task of inventing and designing our own toy based product to pitch and sell to our class mates and some guest judges and wow - did we take this task seriously! We thought about names, prices, target age brackets and practised how we would create our business pitch! Those who were brave eno
