Yr 5 Maths Challenge
Today four Year 5 pupils went to Folkestone Academy to participate in a primary school's Maths Challenge. A total of eighteen schools faced six rounds of varied types of questions. There was a speed round, logic puzzles, a murder mystery to solve, a group challenge, a crossnumber and a set of relay questions. Our children showed perseverance whilst working their brains really hard. They did a fantastic job and came 3rd overall. Well done you made us proud.

π Rivers of the World - Owls Class Geography
Today in Owls Class, we became geographers as we explored the fascinating world of rivers! We began by learning that a river is like a long, winding road made of water. We discovered that every river has a source, where it begins high up in the mountains, and a mouth, where it ends in a sea, ocean or lake. Doubling Fun
Ducklings have been learning all about doubling and have been working really hard to understand how numbers are made up of parts and a whole. We have been exploring how, when we double a number, the parts are always equal, which means they are the same amount. Dino Fun
During our COOL Time, Ducklings Class have been busy exploring a range of exciting dinosaur-themed activities designed to spark curiosity and a real love of learning! Dinosaur Workshop
Ducklings Class had an absolutely roarsome time on their trip to Folkestone Museum, where they took part in a fun, hands-on dinosaur workshop! D&T Day in Owls Class - Making Smoothies ππ
Year 1 had an amazing day making their own fruit smoothies! They started by learning how fruits grow and how flowers turn into tasty fruits. π±π Next, the children became smoothie designers, choosing their favourite fruits, using a class word bank, writing ingredient lists and creating bright, colourful labels for their cups. After learning about knife safety and chopping their fruit carefully, each child added their ingredients to a blender to make their very own smoothie.
