Today in our whole school assembly, we explored the special relationships that make our time in school so positive and meaningful. We talked about the friends who make us laugh, the teachers who support and guide us, and all the people who are there for us no matter what. Together, we created a huge collage filled with names and drawings of our special people, celebrating the connections that remind us that we are loved and valued every day.

This term, Year 6 have been busy designing and creating their own food packaging. This project allowed the children to explore the close connection between drawing and making within the creative process, and exploring how a two-dimensional surface can be transformed and manipulated to create a three-dimensional object. During this first term, we have been back to reading with our reading buddies at Glendale. Some of the residents are very generous with their time on a Thursday afternoon and listen to our pupils read. The children enjoy reading and discussing their books and are always very well behaved.
